The Transplant Trust - Transplant Torch Relay 2008

The key to the relay’s success of encouraging more people to join the NHS Organ Donor Register, are volunteers. The charity is appealing for helpers to support the below legs of the relay, which begins in Carlisle on July 29.

The charity is aiming to make 2008 a record breaking year for new sign-ups. The Transplant Torch Relay dates are as follows:

Tuesday, 29 July - Carlisle
Wednesday, 30 July – Donor Bus drives to Edinburgh for the presentation of
the Donor Bus Replica Trophy
Thursday, 31 July – Newcastle
Friday, 1 August – Durham City
Saturday, 2 August – Middlesbrough
Sunday, 3 August – Scarborough
Monday, 4 August – York
Tuesday, 5 August – Harrogate
Wednesday, 6 August - Leeds
Thursday, 7 August – Doncaster (Donor Bus at opening ceremony of Transplant Games in Sheffield).
Friday, 8 August - Rotherham
Saturday, 9/10 August - Sheffield
